It's the annual Qing Ming Festival....don't ask me what's the real meaning of Qing Ming as I only started this practice when I got married.
We had 3 places to cover this year as usual....Choa Chu Kang, Mt. Vernon and Mandai Crematorium and Columbarium.
Choa Chu Kang is the burial ground so you get to see the tombstones and some really are very fanciful.
The Mt Vernon site, I heard is going to be gone so the family of the deceased are being asked to move the deceased's urns elsewhere.
Mandai is the new guy in town although there is a new and old section to it as well. In there, our former president Dr Wee Kim Wee's urn was placed there as well.
On the left is how the old section of the Mandai Crematorium and Columbarium looked like.
